Couture and the french countryside...

Although we LOVED Paris, the french countryside is a little more our style...we drove around and stopped in the little town of Perigeoux...much like a Cleveland, TN but french so filled with randomn men at the cafe debating who would win the Euro 2008 cup, the boulangerie lightning up the air with the scent of a fresh baked baguette and everywhere are little cars squeezing into spaces that not even the smallest car in the US could get into...no big boxes, no chains...just that freshness that is only found in by far the yuppiest places in the US...we pay big bucks to have what the french consider standard....

We also came back to Lizzie and Mike's and roasted a chicken in butter; fresh thyme, prosuciotto, potatoes, onions and mushrooms...yummy, which seems to be the word to define france...
